SHOP WITH A TROOPER EVENT
On Thursday, December 11, 2008, the Kentucky State Police Professional Association from Post 2 conducted its 12th annual “Shop with a Trooper” program at the Parkway Plaza Mall in Madisonville. Twelve children and their families were treated to pizza at Godfather’s. After dinner, there was a shopping trip to Goody’s where each child was allotted $125 to spend.

2008 KOLLECTION FOR THE KIDS SETS RECORD
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED OUT AND WHO DONATED AT THIS YEAR'S LITE ROCK 104.9 "KOLLECTION FOR THE KIDS." THE ANNUAL EVENT RAISED MORE THAN 3000-DOLLARS IN CASH, AND SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS WORTH OF TOYS TO BENEFIT THE PRINCETON TOYS FOR TOTS CAMPAIGN, CONDUCTED BY THE PRINCETON POLICE DEPARTMENT. A large gathering turned out Saturday afternoon for the unveiling of the design of the proposed new playground in downtown Princeton, and to kickoff the fundraising effort in support of the project.
